Digital-to-Analog Hardware Trojan Attacks

چکیده

We propose a Hardware Trojan (HT) attack for analog circuits with its key characteristic being that it cannot be prevented or detected in the domain. The HT works context of Systems-on-Chip (SoCs) comprising both digital and Intellectual Property (IP) blocks. attacker could either SoC integrator foundry. More specifically, trigger is placed inside dense IP block where can effectively hidden, whereas payload form pattern transported via test bus generated within bus, reaching Design-for-Test (DfT) programmability interface victim bus. unexpectedly activates DfT sets into some possibly partial undocumented mode changes nominal programmability. designed to result performance degradation complete malfunction, i.e., denial service. demonstrate this scenario on two IPs, namely low-dropout (LDO) regulator using simulation an RF receiver hardware measurements.

signal specific successive approximation analog to digital converter

Security Against Hardware Trojan Attacks Using Key-Based Design Obfuscation

Malicious modification of hardware in untrusted fabrication facilities, referred to as hardware Trojan, has emerged as a major security concern. Comprehensive detection of these Trojans during postmanufacturing test has been shown to be extremely difficult. Hence, it is important to develop design techniques that provide effective countermeasures against hardware Trojans by either preventing Tr...

Hardware Trojan Detection in Analog/RF Integrated Circuits

Globalization of semiconductor manufacturing has brought about increasing concerns regarding possible infiltration of the Integrated Circuit (IC) supply chain by skilled and resourceful adversaries, with the intention of introducing malicious modifications (a.k.a hardware Trojans) which can be exploited to cause incorrect results, steal sensitive data, or even incapacitate a chip. While numerou...

Designing an Integrated All-Optical Analog to Digital Converter

We present the procedure for designing a high speed and low power all-optical analog to digital converter (AO-ADC), by integrating InGaAsP semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) with InP based photonic crystal (PhC) drop filters. The self-phase modulation in the SOA can shift the frequency of the Gaussian input pulse. The two output PhC based drop filters are designed to appropriately code the f...
